Present for Mom

So my Mom's birthday is coming up, so I painted a portrait of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a present. So here he is! I'm rather proud of him.

Old painting, new life

I started this painting when I was pregnant with my daughter (over three years ago). I liked where it was going, but was too daunted to finish it, so it sat on my easel ever since. I finally decided to do something with it, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. The masking fluid destroyed the paper as I brought it up, so I don't think I could ever put it up for sale. Still, kind of pretty. However, what I really like is the combination of it with another of my watercolors in Photoshop.

Finished

An art teacher once told us that paintings are never finished, only abandoned. So while I feel like it needs more work, I'm leaving it for now and declaring it temporarily finished.

Unfinished

There are times when you just feel like you need to create something, and when you don't have the time, and it just sits inside and simmers and waits and refuses to go away. I've finally had some time to paint and I am so grateful!

This feels unfinished to me, but I wanted to post it anyway. I'm still happy with it.
